Yellow Magnolia

I have to admit, Yellow is definitely NOT one of my favorite colors.
That's why when I saw there's a challange called "Tilda in Lemon" I knew I had to participate. That would be a real challange for me - using a color I usually only use for flowers, a little bit of butterflies or other touch-ups. Never as a main color.

I got to tell you - I kinda like what I got:

And here are the challanges I entered this card into:

Die cut dreams - Tilda in Lemon
Kaboodle Doodles - Recipe: 2 patterned papers, 2 plain papers, flowers and/or lace
A Pocket Full of Posies - winged things
Creative crew - spakle & shine

Dailly

Blue Green Pink Handbag with blings

Does that sound impossible?
I didn't think so.
These are most of the challanges my card enters, and they are only 5 this time.

The stamped image I got from a friend (Thanks kookadoo), the idea for the ribbons from ICS DT member Meredith (Thanks), and the rest just sort of fell into place...

Here's my card:

 And the inside:

And these are the challenges it's entered into:

Cupcake craft - colors: blue & green
PPC - colors: blue, gree, pink, white
Creative Crew - Sparkle & shine
ICS - Sketch
My time to craft - Handbag

Summer Heat

So many blogs have jumped on the summer waggon, that I decided to do the same.
So here is a summery card, with bright and sunny colors.

And on the inside:

The papers are all BG papers. The stamp is a Penny Black stamp, that felt very summery to me. I colored it with crayons to get the naive look of a summer afternoon. I also used a Martha Stewart punch for the "ribbons". A final touch of doodling finished my card.

This card participates in the following challenges:

Tuesday Trio - Sketch and theme
Cooking it up - Sketch from another blog, Yellow & Stitch
Freshly Brewed - Summertime
Whoopsi Daisy - Hot, Vibrant colors
Sir Stampalot - Lazy Hazy days of summer
Lily-Boo Too - Summery cards

Adding a link to your comment

I'm writing this post mainly for myself, cause I keep forgeting this code, and it's really usefull.

If you want to add a link to your comment, simply use this code, onlu without all the spaces. The only space is between the first "a" and the "href".

< a href = "link" > text to click on < /a >

It's really this easy and it works!

Working with my niece

Yesterday, while I was just finishing up on some cards, my niece came back from kindergarden (she's five y/o).
Whenever she finds me working, she asks to sit by my side and watch.
Of course, it never ends with just watching, cause she's a very touchy-feely kind of person. She has to touch, to feel. So she picks up papers, glue, embelishments, sometimes even tools I have on the table...
And then I asked her if she wants to help me create a card.
She loved the idea, and this is the card we made.

And on the inside:

This card participates in the following challenges:

Crafts & Me - Birthday cards
Crafty Creations - Ice cream & cakes
Incy Wincy - Punches

Who's afraid of colors?

You know how sometimes you start making a card or a layout, only to end up with something completely different than what you initialy saw in your mind?

That's this card's story.
I started out with a sketch and a color scheme, only to find - halfway through - that  don't really like the color scheme...
So I started adding, and changing, and trying different colors, and came up with a card I really love.

And on the inside:

This one participated in the following challenges:

Crafts & Me - Birthday Cards
Crafty Creations - Ice cream & cakes
The Creative Cottage - Summer theme
Fab 'n' Funky - Sew 'n' Sew
Incy Wincy - Punches
La La Land - Try something new
Quixotic - Sketch
Simon Says - Check it out

Vintage ATC's

This time I started with four challenges in mind:
One that asked for ATC cards
One that asked for anything BUT a card
One that showed an add for inspiration, where I took fashion as a keyword
and One that asked to ink an old stamp.

I started with the stamp. I knew exactly which one it would be, and stamped and colored it 5 times.
Then I went for the background paper, added the lace ribbon, and the shett of music notes.
I played with locations and configurations until I was happy and then I glued everything down.

Then I went to making 4 more.
and Ooops.....
When I came to colour and age the music sheet I picked the wrong ink. A darker one...
But I liked the total look of the card with the darker sheet, so I left it.
Which is why there's one card with a lighter music sheet...

These are the challenges the ATC's participate in:

If the shoe fits - inspirational challenge
Incy Wincy - Colour me wonderful
Pals Paper Art - Anything but a card
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Lots of layering
Quitoxic - Ink up an old stamp
Magical Crafts - Vintage

Love is in the air

It seems love is really in the air as Valentine's day nears. So many challenges refer to it - either by the subject of the creation, the colors, or by using the heart element.

These are the challenges this card was created to answer:

Creative Belli - Hearts
Crafty Catz - Love
Incy Wincy - Colour Me Wonderful
C.R.A.F.T - Red
Simon Says - Punch It
Kewl Stamps - Colors
Stamp Away With Me - One Man's Trash...
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Lots of Layering
Totally Gorjuss - Dimension
Ildi Co's - Colors
One Stop - Love & Kisses
2S4Y - Sketch
Quixotic - Ink Up an Old Stamp
Cute Daisy May - Ribbon & Flowers

I would also like to invite you to "Tuesday Trio" - the new Israeli sketch blog (written in both Hebrew and English), where every tuesday there's a new sketch.

Dailly.

Fairies, anyone?

I LOVE Fairies.
Always have.

More then that, I choose to believe in them. To believe that they are all around us, helping us in different little ways we are unaware of.

Which is why I couldn't resist buying a few sets of fairy stamps, and which is why I always have one set of them in my craft bag at all times...

So when I sat down to create this card, the first stamps to land on my table where the fairies by inkadinkado and the trees by crafty individuals.

Again, I tried to answer multi-challenges in one card.

The callenges I participated in are:

PaperPlay challenges - Handwriting
Creative Crad crew - Punch It
ABC Challenges - M is for Masking
Simon Says - Punch it
Incy Wincy - Colour Me Wonderful
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Lots of Layering

I was going for much more, but missed the deadline again...
I realy need to start at the begning of the week next time...

Dailly.

Seeing Stars

When the year started, I made a few decisions.
One was to open with friends the new Israeli sketch blog - Tuesday Trio.
Another was to open this blog, and start participating in some challenges around the net.
It took me a little while to get here, but here I am.

Let me show you the card first:

This card was made for the following challenges:

1.  La La Land Crafts Blog - #21 - Shaped cards
2.  The corrosive challenge - #46 - Distressing
3.  Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - #13 - A heart filled color combo (to tell the truth, I was aiming for the previous challenge - Heavy metal, but I missed it, and by chance, my card fits this challenge as well  :-) )
4.  PaperPlay Challenges - #2 - Furry Friends
5.  Creative Belli - #82 - Glitter or rhinestone
6.  Creative card crew - #42 - Distressing

I was going for a couple more, but missed the deadline.... Maybe next time I'll do better.

Dailly.
